Penimox LA is suitable for controlling infections in cattle , sheep, goats, pigs, dogs and cats where a single injection provides prolonged protection.
For use of the Veterinarian.
Each milliliter contains:
Amoxicillin (as amoxicillin trihydrate) ..... 150 mg
Vehicle qs ........................................ 1 ml
100 ml multidose vial.
Cattle, sheep, goats and pigs: For intramuscular injection only.
Dogs and cats: For subcutaneous or intramuscular injection.
The recommended dose is 15 mg per kg body weight, repeated if necessary after 48 hours. Provide a massage in the application area.
Cattle: 450 kg = 45 ml
sheep, goats: 65 kg = 6.5 ml
Porcine: 150 kg = 15 ml
Dogs: 20 kg = 2.0 ml
Cats: 5 kg = 0.5 ml
The dose is equivalent to 1 ml per 10 kg bodyweight.) If the dose exceeds 20 ml, divide and injected into two sites of the animal.

Amoxicillin, like other penicillin not be administered orally or parenterally in rabbits, hamsters and guinea pigs.
Sensitivity to penicillin / cephalosporins: The penicillins and cephalosporins may cause sensitization following injection, inhalation, ingestion or skin contact.
Sensitization to penicillin may lead to sensitivity to cephalosporins and vice versa. Occasionally allergic reactions are serious.
Do not handle this product if you know you are sensitized.
Handle this product with great care to prevent exposures taking all recommended precautions.
If you have developed symptoms following exposure, such as itching, you should tell your doctor immediately and show this warning. Swelling of the face, lips, eyes or difficulty breathing are more serious symptoms and require urgent medical attention.
